Viola player Peter Mallinson is a longstanding friend of Luton Music, bringing us a range of wonderful programmes over the last ten years – his concerts for two violas were a revelation, particularly in the repertoire by Frank Bridge and Fyodor Druzhinin. Once again he has curated a fascinating programme, this time for the slightly unorthodox combination of violin, viola and piano. The theme of friendship is threaded through the music and will be introduced from the platform in Peter’s informal and scholarly style.
